Four Reasons to Visit Heirloom in Little Ol’ Loxton!
Been a South Aussie all your life, but never visited the Riverland? Well - maybe it’s time you did!
And while we’d be flattered if you made the journey JUST to visit Heirloom, perhaps you could plan your jaunt up to the country to coincide with one of the exciting events happening in our region soon.
For the “Full Country” Experience:
Sunday 4 & Monday 5 October
Loxton Agricultural and Horticultural Show
Join us in Loxton over the October long weekend to celebrate everything agricultural and horticultural! Not sure what that means? It means cake baking competitions, livestock exhibitions and a carnival sideshow all in the one place!
Come along as a spectator, sure! BUT the real fun is in entering the Show as an EXHIBITOR! Think you haven’t got anything to show-off? WRONG! With categories including “Men’s Cookery (no packet-cakes permitted)” (that is a real category title…), “Vegetable Art”, “Crochet”, “Jam and Preserves”, “Pigeons and Poultry” and “Best Scarecrow”, you’re sure to find something you could win a $3 prize for.
Sound quaint? It is! Wholesome family-fun with a bounteous exhibition hall to put any Instagram TRAD-WIFE to shame!
For the Best-Made Bargain Hunters:
Saturday 1 August - Tuesday 25 August
Heirloom Turns 24! 24 of our best go on SALE!
This August we’re celebrating our 24th birthday and we’re giving YOU the gifts.
Join us in-store and online as we count down from 24 to 1, revealing which products we’ve rated as our 24 BEST.
The gift for you? As each item is announced daily, it’ll be added to our celebration sale section online, giving YOU 24% off. But be quick! 24 hours after the last item is added the sale ENDS.
And if that’s not enough for you - sign up to our mailing list during the sale to go into the running to WIN a prize pack filled with many of the featured items.
Happy birthday to us.
For the Art-Buffs:
Sunday 9 August
Skywhales Across Australia x Arts on Terrace
Presented by the National Gallery of Australia, Skywhales Across Australia invites communities to pause, look up and share a moment of wonder, imagination and connection.
Wake before dawn and experience something truly extraordinary as Patricia Piccinini’s monumental Skywhale and Skypapa rise above the Riverland skyline for a magical sunrise event in Loxton.
Join the community at the Loxton town oval from 5:30am as the beloved hot air balloon sculptures slowly inflate and, weather permitting, take flight across the morning sky.
Then - follow the pre-dawn crowd back to the town centre to celebrate Loxton’s annual Arts on Terrace event with shops open for breakfast, Sunday trading (that’s us!), creative workshops, free activities, self-guided art trails, and live performances.
For the Green-Thumbs:
Friday 9 October - Sunday 18 October
Riverland Rose and Garden Festival
Celebrate the onset of Spring in 2026 by taking a trip up to the Riverland to enjoy our famous Rose and Garden Festival!
Now in it’s 32nd year, this 10-day event features open gardens, flower shows, seminars and nature tourism across the region. A fascinating opportunity to see how gardeners in a challenging drought and frost-prone climate are tackling sowing and growing. Just the inspiration you’ll need to get your own springtime garden into ship-shape!
